Loss & grief taught me stillness, and motherhood has demanded it
I think life just gets harder as we get older, isn’t that the case? Or maybe it’s that when I was younger, I believed the hardest parts were behind me. The incessant high school gossip, my 17 year old insecurities and the unpredictability of growing up. I had no idea that adulthood would cut so much deeper, that love and loss would sting more, but shine brighter. Everything just feels more now… more intense, and more permanent.
